Set in a charming old square farm, located in Horrues, in the heart of the countryside, surrounded by meadows and nature, the farm offers a peaceful setting ideal for discovering ponies and enjoying outdoor activities.
The typical organisation of the farm, with its buildings arranged around a central courtyard, creates a lively and friendly place where children can grow safely and fully enjoy the environment.
In the heart of the countryside of Horrues, L'Étrier d'Or welcomes children and families in an authentic square farm, surrounded by meadows and nature.
Here, children discover ponies, farm life and the pleasure of being outdoors. Between pony lessons, nature workshops and shared moments with animals, everyone can learn, have fun and grow in contact with living things.
Who are we?
Nicolas
Nicolas loves to imagine, build and bring projects to life. The Etrier d'Or owes much to his energy and his ability to turn ideas into reality.
Born in the countryside, he has always maintained a deep connection with nature and the land. Designing spaces, cultivating a vegetable garden or watching things grow are part of what has always inspired him.
Passionate about market gardening, Nicolas wants to make the Etrier d'Or a lively and inspiring place, where children can discover animals, the earth and the rhythms of nature.
Through the farm and the projects that develop there, he wishes to convey simple and essential values: respect for living things, curiosity and the connection with nature.
Johanna
Horses have been part of her life since childhood. A passion that has never left her and has led her, over the years, to train, progress and pass on her knowledge.
Holder of the Galop 7 and qualified as a Sports Instructor, Johanna has participated in several regional eventing competitions in France and has particularly focused on dressage.
At the Etrier d'Or, she especially wants to promote riding based on trust, respect and pleasure. Here, the child does not just learn to ride: they also learn to know their pony, to take care of it and to create a real relationship with it.
Her experience in adapted work and her training around disability also allow her to welcome children with specific needs with great attention and adaptation.
The objective remains simple: for every child to find their place, gain confidence and develop at their own pace, in a family-friendly and caring atmosphere.

The Etrier d'Or is also a family adventure, shared with their 4 children.
Life around animals, the farm and nature is part of the family's daily life and helps create a warm, lively and authentic place.
